Abstract :
For the donor bis(dimethylthieno)tetratellurafulvalene (BDMT-TTeF), already known to form red triclinic crystals (space group P1), a new black monoclinic polymorph (space group P21/n) was found, with a different molecular geometry. A stable 1:1 complex of BDMT-TTeFis formed with buckminsterfullerene, C60 and CS2 (space group C2/c), which is neutral and electrically insulating, and has a magnetic transition at 260 K, probably associated with incipient rotation of C60.
