Abstract :
A technique for obtaining BaCuO2 large crystals has been developed by the pulse heating method. The results are insured by controlling heterogeneous nucleation process and exclusion of latent heat. The impurities leaking out from the sample with a liquid phase through a sintering process at 980°C is unique among the crystallographic process. The large BaCuO2 crystals successfully grow in the case of low final temperature in the furnace. The obtained BaCuO2 crystal is applied to the substrate for the thin film by reactive diffusion method. The c-axis of the thin film is oriented perpendicular to the surface of the BaCuO2 crystal.
