Abstract :
Substituted polyacetylenes, poly(2-pyridylacetylene)s, were synthesized. These polymers had very high geometric regularity in the main chain double bonds. The neutralization of the side chain elongated π-conjugation along the main chain and enhanced the nonlinear optical properties.
