Abstract :
Site-selective fluorescence spectroscopy has been performed for centro-symmetric metal porphyrins doped in polymer films and for Zn-substituted myoglobin at low temperatures. It has been confirmed that the degeneracy of the excited singlet S1 state is lifted by the interaction between the guest molecule and its environment.
