Abstract :
We have measured the anisotropy of conductivity of organic conductor α-(BEDT-TTF)2I3. This substance is metallic at room temperatures, but undergoes the Metal-NonMetal (Here after, we abbreviate it as M-NM) transition around 135K. We found that thin M-NM transition disappears under pressures above 15kbar, but that it revives in the magnetic field. We call this as the Magnetic field induced Metal-NonMetal transition. We measured the change in the conductivity anisotropy in the vicinity of the transition temperature. Both the M-NM transition in zero field and in the magnetic field accompanies the change in the conductivity anisotropy.
