Abstract
The synthesis and spectroelectrochemistry of polycyclopenta[2,1-b;4,3-b′]dithiophen-4-(cyano,nonafluorobutylsulfonyl)-methylidene (PCNFBS), a low bandgap conducting polymer which is both p- and n-dopable, are reported. A model electrochromic device incorporating this polymer as both the anode and the cathode is demonstrated.
