Abstract
Study of the synthesis of four asymmetric partially selenated tetrathiafulvalenes (TTFs), EDS-TTF Ia (ethylenediselena-TTF), EDS-DMTTFIb (EDS-dimethyl-TTF),EDS-DCMTTFIIa (EDS-dicarbomethoxy-TTF) and EDS-DHMTTF IIb (EDS-dihydroxymethyl-TTF), using different routes is depicted. The preparation of both a charge transfer complex, Ib-TCNQ (Ib-tetracyanoquinodimethane), and a new radical cation salt, IIb-ClO4, is presented.
