Abstract :
The optical properties of C60 are reviewed with regard to their intrinsic interest as molecular solids exhibiting high symmetry. Modifications to these properties due to phototransformation and alkali metal doping are summarized. These optical properties provide background to current studies on C60-polymer composites, with their focus on potential applications.
