Abstract :
Polypyrrole-CeO2 thin composite films were obtained by Ce4+→ Ce3+ dependent pyrrole redox polymerization, over CeO2-coated glass slides. CeO2 coatings were in turn prepared by thermal decomposition of cerium 2-ethyl-hexanoate. The resulting oxide-polymer composites are semiconducting, nearly transparent with a rough surface made of undoped-polypyrrole film.
