Abstract :
Polymerization of 2-(3-thienyl)ethyl perfluoroalkanoates affords high quality films of electronically conductive polymers compared to the hydrocarbon analogs. Perfluoroalkyl substituants are being investigated for their effect on the surface properties and self-assembly of conjugated polymers.
