Abstract :
Self-assembly (SA) of molecules constituted of hexyl-bridged pyrrole or cyclopentadithiophene heads and ferrocene tails on ITO electrodes was investigated in acetonitrile. SA layers are formed from both the ferrocene and the ferrocenium forms. Anodic coupling of SA layers produces polythiophene layers contacting directly the electrode surface.
