Abstract :
We investigated a relationship between an electrical conductivity of doped polyacetylene film and a cis-trans isomerization temperature that can be regarded as one of parameters indexing crystallinity of the film. Increment of the conductivity due to a decrease in film thickness and that due to a mechanical stretching were larger in N-type film than in case of S-type film. Besides, the N-type film showed a tendency that the mechanical stretchability becomes lower as the crystallinity becomes higher. In other words, the highest conductivity achieved by mechanical stretching is accompanied with a decrease of the crystallinity.
