Abstract :
The optical properties of substituted PPP are described. The absorption and electroabsorption spectra contain a number of features, due to even and odd parity singlet excitons. The photoinduced absorption spectrum contains three bands, which were attributed to charged polarons and triplet excitons, respectively.
