Abstract :
The third order susceptibilities ξ(3) Langmuir Blodgett films of two series of octasubstituted metallophthalocyanines 1 and 2 have been measured by Third Harmonic Generation (THG) experiments at 1.064 and 1.904 μm. The results indicate that the hydrogen bonding has a very weak influence in their nonlinear response. Preliminary studies in solution of tetrasubstituted metallophthalocyanines have been also performed.
