Abstract :
Recently we reported scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) images of quasi-one-dimensional conductor, tetrathiafulvalene-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TTF-TCNQ), which can be interpreted as a manifestation of strong tip-sample interaction [1]. In this report we model this interaction and discuss more fully its relation to these experimentally observed STM images.
