Study of polyallycarbosilane dendrimer structure by pyrenyl excimer formation

Carbosilanesiloxane dendrimers fluorescently labelled by pyrenyl on the central silicon atom Si1418(Me) and Si29(Me) have been prepared. The evidence of excimer formation of pyrenyl dendrimer is obtained using the time-correlated single-photon counting technique and steadystate fluorescence spectroscopy. The similarity of the process of the pyrenyl excimer formation for both different generations of dendrimer has been demonstrated.
