Abstract
Dehydrochlorination of stereoregurally chlorinatedpolyacetylene film was carried out by chemical and electrochemical methods. ER spectra showed that the chlorinated polyacetylene was almost converted to a carbynoid material characterized by IR spectra, while presence of conjugated polyene moiety in the product was confirmed by resonance Raman spectra, suggesting the product being a πconjugated polymer with carbyne and polyene structures. Effect of the orientation of polymer main chain by an uniaxial stretching is investigated by XRD and SEM, but alignment of carbynoid chains in the product could not be confirmed.
