Abstract :
We have investigated the class of disubstituted polyacatylene (PDPA) such as pristine and doped with C60, using both transient and steady state spectroscopies. These polymers show high yield photoluminescence which causes spectral narrowing at high excitation intensities, despite of their ground state degeneracy. In PDPAnBu/C60 mixture we found photoinduced charge transfer from the degenerate ground state polymer chains to the C60 molecules.
