Abstract
In order to harvest light efficiency and optimize charge transport in an organic photovoltaic (PV) cell, the dye molecules must be oriented properly on the substrate. We investigate the influence of the moiecular orientation of octithiophenes (8T) on their PV properties. We elaborate Schottky cells based on 8T film in which the molecules are lying or with an isotropy orientation. Photovoltaic characteristics have been studied with a polarized incident light, and show a strong dependence of this light polarisation for oriented molecules.
