Abstract :
Polyparaphenylene oligomers and the corresponding polymer PPP were studied by Raman scattering from various sample morphologies: powder, thin film, single crystal and single molecule. The Raman intensities of the 1220, 1280 and 1600 cm−1 modes are compared with the molecule length and with the excitation wavelength.
