Abstract
Electrical conductivity of conducting polymer blends based on polyaniline has been studied under different aging conditions. The relative stability of these films with various dopants has been compared and the evolution of the transport properties with aging has been investigated in the range 77 to 300K. All results are interpreted in the framework of a heterogeneous model where conduction is mainly dominated by a hopping mechanism between conducting clusters separated by thin insulating barriers. Above the percolation threshold, thermal aging leads to an expansion of the insulating barriers to the detriment of the cluster size.
