Abstract
An improved method was used to synthesize polyaniline (PANI) composites having both conducting (10−4~10−1 S/cm) and ferromagnetic properties (Ms≈ 1.9–10.0 emu/g, and Hc ≈ 0). Compared with previous method proposed by authors, the improved method is much simpler without dedpoing and redoping procedures, also FeCl2·4H2O and FeCl3·6H2O are used as oxidants instead of ammonium persulsate (APS). It has been proved that nanocrystalline magnetic particles (Fe3O4) in the composites are responsible for the observed ferromagnetic properties of the composites, while, PANI doped with HCl contributes to the electrical properties of the composites.
