Intervalence-transfer bands for mixed-valence oligo(1,1′-dihexylferrocenylene)s

Intervalence-transfer (IT) bands at mixed-valence states of oligo(1,1′-dihexylferrocenylene)s determined by the analysis of the absorption spectra of the oligomers from dimer to hexamer oxidized quantitatively with 1,1′ʹ-dichloroferrocenium ion show several characteristic features depending on the oxidation number and the number of ferrocene units.
