Abstract :
This article reviews studies on organic superconductors characterized by low-dimensionality. They exhibit exotic features related to their low-dimensionality, the electron-molecule interaction and the electron correlation. The phenomenological aspects related to the two-dimensionality have been manifested by the effect of the thermal fluctuation and the Kosterlitz-Thouless-like behavior in the superconductivity transition region. The microscopic aspects connected to the mechanism have been investigated in relation to the atomic substitution effect and the pairing wave function. The organic superconductors now coming to their maturity provide a unique basis for advanced superconductivity research. Current interest in superconductivity research at high magnetic fields and material developments are discussed.
