Abstract :
The novel hexeno-fused donors, CHET-TTF(1), CHESe-TTF(2), CHST(3), and CHEO-TTF(4), have been synthesized, not only by cross-coupling with P(OEt)3, but also by the Wittig or Wittig-Horner reactions. CV measurements show two reversible redox waves, where the redox potentials are the average values of the corresponding symmetrical donors. The resistivities of (1)·TCNQ and (1)-(ClO4) are ϱRT = 1.2 Ωcm (Ea=0.05eV) and 0.5 Ωcm (0.03eV), respectively. A crystal structure analysis of (1)·TCNQ shows that the donor arrangement is β-type, and the calculated Fermi surface is two-dimensional.
