Abstract
The reaction of [SnMe2(C3S5)] and [SnMe2(C3S3Se2)] with gold(l) or gold(III) derivatives affords [Au2(C3S5)(PR3)2], [Au2(C3S3Se2)(PR3)2], and [Au(C3S5)(S2CNR2)] respectively. Similar transmetallation reaction between the tin complexes and [Ni(Mes)Br(PPh2Me)2] affords (C3S5)Mes2, (C3S3Se2)Mes2, and [Ni(C3S5Mes)(Mes)(PPh2Me)] in which coupling S-C, Se-C, S-S and Se-Se reactions occurs. The structure of (C3S5)Mes2 has been confirmed by X-ray studies.
