Abstract :
Neutral bis(tetrathiafulvalenyldithiolato) cobalt complexes (1a - 1c) have been synthesized, whose room-temperature electrical conductivities (σrtʹs) are 10−4 - 10−10 S·cm−1. The SQUID measurement showed that the cobalt atom is in the state of Co(II) (S = 1/2). Addition of an equimolar amount of tetramethylthio-substituted TTF (4) to 1a brought about marked increase by ca. 107 in the σrt value.
