Abstract
The thermally stimulated currents (TSCs) in disordered solids are approximately calculated in the framework of the multiple trapping (MT) model. The basic simplifying assumption is the strongly non-equilibrium distribution of the majority of the trapped carriers. Unlike some previous treatments, the present one includes the effects of trap saturation and of both monomolecular and bimolecular carrier recombination. The accuracy of the derived formulae is verified by numerical calculations, performed for the exponential distribution of traps.
