Abstract
Dibenzotetrathiafulvalene (DBTTF) derivatives substituted symmetrically by methoxy and methylenedioxy groups — tetramethoxydibenzotetrathiafulvalene (TMO-DBTTF) and bis(methylenedioxy)-dibenzotetrathiafulvalene (BMDO-DBTTF) — were prepared. Their electrochemical properties, crystal structure analysis results and MO calculations are reported. Donor ability was improved through the introduction of electron-donating groups (methoxy and methylenedioxy groups) into DBTTF. The electrical conductivities of their complexes with TCNQ were measured.
