Abstract
A series of four phenylene–thienyl based conducting polymers have been synthesized with push–pull funtionalities incorporated in the phenylene and thienyl moieties to control the solubility and emission properties. Light-emitting devices (LEDs) were constructed on indium tin oxide (ITO) and aluminum substrates. The emission wavelength could be tuned by constructing devices with mixtures of the polymers.
