Abstract
For a liquid crystal (LC)/C60 fullerene composite, namely (C60)n:(C14H13N2O) molecular composite, a metallic type conductivity along the composite surface layer into Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) Pt-tip/composite surface layer/Pt electrode structure was discovered. Raman scattering, adsorbance–reflectance infra red (IR) spectra combined with atomic force microscopy (AFM) image analysis of a self-assembly of polymerized (C60)n (n=13,33) cluster chains in modified C14H13N2O molecular nets, which determine the metallic type conductivity of the composite, bring additional information about the material structure.
