Abstract :
Kamp and Partee (1995) make new and interesting proposals about the linguistic phenomena of typicality and vagueness. The proposals include a mechanism for computing the typicality of objects in complex concepts, and the use of supervaluations to quantify vagueness. These ideas are discussed and evaluated in the present article.
