Abstract
Recent synthesis of C60-based star polymers with polyaniline arms represents a new class of branched conducting polymers with the possibility of intra- and inter-arm charge transport both within a single molecule and between molecules as controlled by their relative conformations. A theory is presented for the onset of charge conductivity and its dependence on the number and length of arms, the concentration of branched polymer, and with and without participation of the C60 core in the charge transport. Comparisons are made with corresponding behavior in linear conducting polymers.
