Abstract
A covalently attached multilayer self-assembly film from polyaniline and a diazo resin was fabricated using an in situ coupling reaction between the two components. The absorbance of the film increases linearly with the number of dipping cycles. The resulting film is stable towards polar organic solvents. The HCl doped film shows an electrical conductivity of 0.05 S/cm. Cyclic voltammogram of the film shows three pairs of redox peaks and the peak currents increase with the number of dipping cycles.
