Abstract
Porous distributed Bragg reflectors (PDBRs) have been fabricated by means of electrochemical etching. Technological parameters and environmental conditions for fabricating the microcavity were determined by measuring reflection and absorption spectra. The microcavity was made using an organic material as emitting layer and silver as a half-reflecting layer. The structure of the microcavity is Si/PDBR/Alq3/Ag. Broad emission from the organic material can be narrowed in a selected wavelength range and the emitting intensity can be increased by about one order of magnitude simply by adjusting the thickness of the organic layer.
