Abstract :
The infrared reflectivity of the organic conductor α-(BEDT-TTF)2KHg(SCN)4 has been measured as a function of polarization and temperature. The optical conductivity spectra obtained by the Kramers–Kronig analysis show different electronic contributions due to interband and intraband excitations. The vibrational features are assigned and compared to the superconducting analogue α-(BEDT-TTF)2(NH4)Hg(SCN)4.
