Abstract :
Studies of electrical resistance and crystal structures under the uniaxial compression verified that the variety of electronic properties of α-(BEDT-TTF)2XHg(SCN)4 (X=K, NH4), θ-(BEDT-TTF)2CsZn(SCN)4 and θ-BO2Cl(H2O)x is systematically controlled by the strain and is explained in terms of the difference in the band structure. One exception, the selenium analogue α-(BEDT-TTF)2KHg(SeCN)4 showed the superconductivity under the uniaxial compression along any direction.
