Abstract
We consider an alternative Lotka-Volterra competition model in which two species co-exist stably in interspecific competition. This model consists of a pair of autonomous differential equations and assumes that competitive interactions, both intra-and interspecific, are non-linear. By means of an appropriately constructed Lyapunov function, sufficient conditions are derived for the global stability of the unique positive steady state.
