Abstract
This article is devoted to a mathematical model for the prognosis of fish population size. The population is presented as a freely oscillating system. The model for the prognosis is based on the use of a second-order differential equation. The final calculated expressions for quantity prognosis were produced. We also give a prognosis of the population size of some fish inhabitating one of the Karelian lakes (Russia).
