Abstract :
Various phenothiazinyl-based hydrazones including cross-linkable derivatives have been synthesized by the multi-step synthetic route. Full characterization of their structure is presented. The materials were examined by various techniques including differential scanning calorimetry, UV spectrometry, electron photoemission and time of flight techniques. The electron photoemission spectra of the layers showed the ionisation potentials of 5.3–5.4 eV. Room temperature hole drift mobility of some derivatives molecularly dispersed in bisphenol Z polycarbonate approached 5 × 10−6 cm2/Vs at high electric fields.
