Abstract :
Some of the recent developments in the field of organic charge-transfer salts are reviewed. In particular, novel aspects advancing a better understanding of the competing metallic and magnetic ground states in the quasi-one and quasi-two-dimensional organic conductors are presented. A number of challenging experiments rewarded us with new insights in some principal electronic properties of low-dimensional metals and revealed features of the metallic state which are not explicable by the usual Fermi-liquid theory. Finally, new highlights occurring in the vortex state and some recent perspectives on the nature of the superconducting state are discussed.
