Plastic crystals: Dilatometric and thermobarometric complementary studies

Plastic crystals from the Pentaerythritol series have been investigated by thermobarometry and dilatometry techniques. Volume changes between solid and plastic phases, isobaric thermal expansion and isothermal compressibility coefficients in plastic phase have been determined. Small relative volume changes of about 5% have been obtained for the transition between both phases.
