Careful considerations when reporting and evaluating the grey water footprint of products

Grey water footprints (WFgrey) of products have been elaborated by many researchers. However, information deficiency is very common in accounting and assessing WFgrey of products. We provide an illustrate example of fabric production in a field surveyed factory. Three different WFgrey results gained for the same product with the same production line, just because selections of different parameters. To sufficiently inform decision makers, necessary information relate to WFgrey calculation should thus be clearly presented. This will avoid misleading inference on WFgrey estimates and evaluations.
