Abstract :
TlInTe2 crystals were grown and purified by successive recrystallizations. A stoichiometric analysis gave maximum deviations from the nominal TlInTe2 composition of ~5%. An X-ray diffraction study gave the following results for the structure of the obtained crystals: space group D184th and lattice parametersa = 8.494إ and c = 7.181إ. A morphological investigation of the obtained crystals revealed the fibrous structure of TlInTe2.
