Abstract :
The fluorescence properties of Eu3+-doped LaVO4, (La0.75,Y0.25)VO4, (La0.5,Y0.5)VO4, (La0.25,Y0.75)VO4, and YVO4 powder phosphors are reported. The phase purity was checked by XRD and FT-IR spectra. The values of relative fluorescence intensity ratios (R) and color coordinates (X̄,Ȳ) were found to increase significantly with an increase in the yttrium concentration. Both thermal analysis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies were carried out to characterize the samples.
