Abstract
Subsolidus equilibria in air in the RuO2—PbO—CeO2 systems were studied with the aim of obtaining information on possible interactions between the Pb2Ru2O6.5 based cathode and CeO2 based solid electrolyte in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). No ternary compound was found in the system. The tie line is between Pb2Ru2O6.5 and CeO2. The obtained results indicate that a Pb2Ru2O6.5-based cathode material would not react with a ceria based solid electrolyte in a SOFC.
