Abstract
Lasers have been used to deposit organizates (preformed supramolecular assemblies) of lipids incorporated with Riboflavin (Rbf), a natural fluorophore, on solid surfaces. The output energy of the laser has been varied from 100 μJ to 1 mJ. The structure and properties of the organizates thus deposited have been investigated using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, fluorescence and absorbance spectroscopy. The constituent molecules in the deposited material display characteristic native properties and the organizates retain their morphological identity.
