Abstract :
Films of preformed molecular assemblies of riboflavin (RBF) incorporated liposomes have been prepared using the spin-drying and the laser ablation method. Fluorescence microscopy and SEM measurements reveal that these films consist of particles of rod-like shape irrespective of the method of preparation. RBF when modified with stearic acid (SRBF) acquires amphiphilicity. Films are prepared from chloroform solutions of SRBF using the LB technique, the water seepage method, the spin-drying method and laser ablation. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements indicate that structural details of these films depend on the method of preparation.
