Magnetic structure of multilayers studied by Mِssbauer spectroscopy

By utilizing Mِssbauer probes, such as 57Fe, 197Au and 119Sn, magnetic structures of multilayers are studied from a microscopic viewpoint. Recent experimental results from Mِssbauer spectroscopy, relating to the problems of giant magnetoresistance and interlayer coupling, are surveyed and the feasibility of Mِssbauer spectroscopy is argued.
