Characterization of urea single crystals

The electro-optic coefficients were measured using a sensitive modulation technique for urea single crystals. IR and Raman studies have been carried out to identify the molecules NH2, NCN and C = O vibrational frequencies. The dielectic measurements have been made using the bridge method. It is found that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss decrease with increasing frequency.
